Derek Barylski "Prem"
Co-Founder, Fan Experience & Partnerships
Live event and broadcast production specialist based in Denver, Colorado. Derek is a husband, father of two young boys, owner of a husky named Buehrle and a chihuahua / shiba mix named Charlie, and a diehard sports and Phish fan. His love for real-time sports updates sparked the core concept behind OnStage. Derek leads product direction, operations, and community outreach for ThunderPrem Labs.
Dan Miller "Thunder"

Product builder and operations leader based in Chicago, Illinois. Dan is a longtime Phish fan whose career has focused on hospitality, operations, experience design, and technology. For OnStage, he leads product design and development across the iOS app, backend infrastructure, and API integrations. He is especially interested in the systems, production, and small details that shape the experience of live music.
Our Story
We're concertgoers, sports fans, and software builders who make the kinds of tools we want to use ourselves. We started OnStage to make following a show from somewhere else easier, without spending the night refreshing setlists, message boards, and social feeds.
ThunderPrem Labs started in July 2026.
Derek and Dan have been close friends for over 20 years, bonded by a shared love for live music, sports, and a good time. Both had to miss Phish's summer tour run at Deer Creek due to family and work commitments. While following along from home, Derek looked at how sports apps deliver instant score and play updates straight to an iPhone lock screen via Live Activities.
The question was obvious: why isn't there a clean, real-time way to follow live concerts the exact same way fans follow their favorite sports teams?
Derek pitched the idea to Dan on July 9. Within 24 hours, Dan built an iOS prototype running on TestFlight that pushed live setlist updates directly to their lock screens.
Since that first test, OnStage has grown beyond live setlist updates to include show context, recordings, discovery, and more ways to follow, revisit, and remember the shows you care about.
